About US
We are a group of foster and adoptive parents with a desire to help children and their families.
We're making a difference in the lives of the children and their families we serve. We've discovered that we are stronger and can provide better care when we take time to support and encourage each other. Ours is a very challenging life; but one we wouldn't have any other way! We're privileged to help in times of family crisis. We're also privileged to help give foster children back their future!
We support the initiative to involve birth families in the planning to meet the needs of their children. We encourage foster parents to help families to remain involved, thereby assisting us in meeting their children's emotional, physical and developmental needs.

Membership
All foster and adoptive parents living in the Sullivan and Grafton County area are voting members of CVFAPA, regardless of their agency.
Foster care licensing applicants are welcome and encouraged to attend our meetings. Kinship carers and members of the community interested in helping foster and adopted children are also encouraged to attend our meetings and participate in our activities. Please feel comfortable contacting any of our members or use the contact form on the home page.
See the "Meetings" page for the schedule and agenda. Training credits can be earned when we have a guest speaker.
CVFAPA welcomes participation by all child placing agencies. Social Workers from all child placing agencies are welcome, encouraged and do attend these meetings.
Everyone enjoys pot luck, good company, and a chance to socialize with others who know what it's like to be a foster and/or adoptive parent.
